Sneed, Troy

Graduate of Florida A&M, Troy Sneed became FAMU’s Gospel Choir director. Came to Jacksonville to teach elementary school but was recruited by Savoy Records to become director of the Georgia Mass Choir in Atlanta. Sneed and the choir appeared in the Denzel Washington-Whitney Houston movie The Preacher’s Wife. Later produced debut albums for Henrietta Telfair and Rudolph McKissick’s Word & Worship Mass Choir.
