Mike,
I am glad to find your site again. You are doing a great job.
It is good to see the stories and features, history of our very impressive group of performing artists from the Jacksonvill area.
It seems your NFMHF is doing well, and I am honored that Judy Jenners-Vanzant thought enough of my concept to carry it furher and you have
given it the authoring help it needed. We talked briefly when you were working on your book, but regretfully never met personally. I am working on my concept and tributes as well and perhaps we can get together one day soon maybe with Bill Binkley Jr., musician and recordings/artists expert. I worked with his step-dad, Abe Livert and later on to Hoyts Stereo at their stores in the sixties. By the way, I don't know if you know, but Ross Tomkins, pianist for Doc Severinsen on The Tonight Show, both in N.Y and L.A. died several years ago. He was from St. Augustine. I had included him on the list which I gave Mrs. Vanzant. We also lost Dennis Yost about three years ago near Cleveland, OH. from illness. Wally Eaton, of the Classics IV, is still residing in Southside. Keep Up the Good Work. Chuck De Lettre

Hey Mike.. Just was checking out this website and appreciate the mention about Vision and thought I'd give just a little more info if you'd like. We had one independant regional release.. self titled.."Vision" ..with Leon ,Billy, and Keith Holmes(playing some great flute). The second album was a result of our recrding cotract with "Heartland Records" a subsidiary of "Full Sail Recording" in Orlando..Jon Phelps/Gary Jones.. That record(again self titled"Vision") was pretty successful for us and because of that success landed us a spot on The Dove Awards as one of the headline groups along w/Mylon LeFevre/Driscoll/Russ Taff/Sandi Patti and Denise Williams(that evening).Thanks..Rocco
